With a self-exclusion, you voluntarily exclude yourself from gambling, for example for a break or for permanent protection. The block is stored in the nationwide OASIS system and applies with all licensed providers, online as well as at the betting shop. The block is free of charge.
How do I apply for a self-exclusion?
You can apply for the block directly with a provider, at the betting shop or via the responsible body. It takes effect across providers, so you don't have to block yourself with each provider individually. A single self-exclusion already excludes you everywhere.
How long does a self-exclusion last?
A self-exclusion applies for at least a set period. After that, it does not expire by itself, but has to be actively lifted. This deliberate hurdle is intended to protect you from spontaneous decisions.
Self-exclusion, time-out or limit?
For a short distance, the time-out via the panic button is often enough. Anyone who wants to limit their budget uses deposit limits.
