Tipico card balance: top up, check and withdraw

You top up your Tipico customer card in a Tipico shop, either in cash at the counter or at a terminal. At the counter you pay the money to the staff and it lands on your card. At a terminal you scan the card and pay in there. Either way the balance is ready at once.

Which shop you use matters. The card is tied to the shop that issued it. If that shop belongs to a franchise partner with several locations, it also works in their other shops. A deposit in the shop goes onto your customer card, an online deposit goes into your Tipico online account. The two accounts are separate. You can't move a balance from your online account to the card, and according to Tipico you can no longer play online directly with the card for legal reasons.

You check your card balance in the shop. Hold the card to the scanner at a terminal and enter your PIN. That logs you in to your customer card account, and you bet directly with the balance. Stakes are deducted from it straight away. According to Tipico, this keeps your bets and balance in view.

Yes. Winnings are credited to your customer card account automatically, and you can have the balance paid out in cash in the shop. You can also leave it on the card and use it later.

For cash payouts in the shop, Tipico states an upper limit of 25,000 euros. How much a single shop can pay out in cash on the spot varies from shop to shop. For large amounts, ask in advance. You may need to arrange an appointment. The full process is described in Payout at the betting shop.
