What happens to my balance and betting slips?
Your balance is not lost. According to Tipico, your balance and open betting slips are transferred to the new card automatically. You don't need to verify yourself again, because that is already done.

Is my card protected if someone finds it?
The card is protected by your PIN. At the terminal you log in with your card and PIN. Tipico states that nobody can use your balance without the PIN. Keep the PIN separate from the card and don't share it.
Still report the loss at your shop quickly. Everything else is handled there, and you get access to your balance again sooner.
